It's a loooong time ago since I submitted something that's not school related... phew.. and also a long time ago since I drew any killerwhales.
It's a piece I made between studying for my finals (just to give myself a much needed break). I kinda like how it turned out. I decided to try out cel-shading for a change. I know it's not perfect but hey, I had my fun
Six little orca calves playing with eachother. They're all chars of mine, except for the one in the center. I tried to bring out their personalities a bit (also a very fun thing to do). From left to right: Lunar (top left) playing with his sister Emi (bottom left), Keiko (center) blowing some bubbles, Timmy (bottom right) sticking out his tongue and little Kaito biting the tail of his big sister Nami who doesn't seem very happy about it.
Photoshop CS2 on Wacom tablet about 3 hours no refs
Oh my gosh, these are just adorable. ^^ Great job on them, and the background totally rocks. -drool- I love the orcas' expressions and markings. Too awesome.
